Find an exact age in years, months and days, today or on any date you choose. See total days, weeks and the next birthday. Nothing is uploaded.
Leave “Age on this date” as today, or set a cut-off date such as an exam, job or admission “age as on” date.
Everything is calculated in your browser. The dates you enter are not sent to Etemora. Age is counted in whole calendar days, without the time of birth or time zones.
This age calculator works out an exact age in years, months and days from a date of birth. It counts the age on today’s date or on any other date you choose, such as the “age as on” date in an exam, job or admission notice.
Next to the age you also get the total number of days, weeks, months and hours lived, the day of the week the person was born, and how many days are left until the next birthday. The calculation runs in your browser, so the dates you enter are not sent anywhere.
Age is counted in completed calendar units. The calculator first counts the full years since the date of birth, then the full months after the last birthday, then the days left over.
Because months have different lengths, other calculators can give a different number of days for dates near the end of a month. The total number of days between the two dates is always the same.
Many forms ask for your age “as on” a fixed date rather than today. Exams, job applications, school admissions and sports categories often set a cut-off date and a minimum or maximum age. Enter that cut-off date in “Age on this date” to see the age that applies.
Always read the official notice for the exact rule. Some notices ask for the age completed on the cut-off date, others give a range of allowed birth dates, and some count the cut-off date itself differently. If an official age decides whether you can apply, the notice is the final word, not this calculator.
People born on February 29 have a calendar birthday only in leap years. In other years the birthday is usually marked on February 28 or March 1, and the rule that counts for legal and official purposes differs between countries and organisations.
When the date of birth is February 29, the calculator shows a choice between the two. With “February 28”, someone born on February 29, 2004 turns 21 on February 28, 2025. With “March 1”, they turn 21 on March 1, 2025.
This calculator uses the international method, where a baby is 0 at birth and gains a year on each birthday. Some East Asian traditions count a baby as 1 at birth and add a year at the new year. South Korea moved its legal and administrative age to the international method on June 28, 2023, though the traditional count is still heard in everyday life.

Enter your date of birth. The calculator counts the complete years since your birth, then the complete months since your last birthday, then the remaining days, and shows the result as years, months and days.
Change “Age on this date” to the date you need, for example the cut-off date in an exam or job notice. The result shows the age on that date instead of today.
Enter your date of birth and keep today’s date. The Total days box shows how many calendar days have passed since the day you were born.
The result shows the weekday under your age, for example “Born on Sunday, July 15, 2001”.
In years without February 29, the birthday is usually counted on February 28 or March 1, and the official rule depends on the country or organisation. The calculator lets you choose either day.
No. The age is calculated in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to Etemora. The dates are only added to a link if you choose Copy link with these dates.
